Make Your Own Pore Strips (via MichellePhan)
If you’re a blackheads magnet like me (even if you don’t get a lot of blackheads but wears a lot of make-up cuz make-up finds its way inside your pores), here’s a video about DIY pore strips by Michelle Phan (if you’re a girl and wears make-up, my money says you’re already a subscriber to her videos). This came highly recommended by my sister who already tried this twice and worked like a charm. Also, she mentioned that if you’re from Canada, you won’t be able to get unflavored gelatin powder from the grocery stores. However, you can find them—and for really cheap nonetheless—at the bulk food stores i.e. Bulk Barn. She also gave me heads-up that the formula smells of a wet dog (that’s exactly how she described it to me). So to remedy it, she puts in a couple of drops of perfume oil to counteract the smell.
I personally haven’t tried this yet but I plan to on Sunday. My calendar this weekend starting tonight includes a couple of birthday parties and a couple of christenings. These translate to wearing a lot of make-up and I would wanna clean my pores after then.
